LEADERSHIP AT ALL LEVELS IS A HALLMARK OF A HIGH PERFORMING ORGANIZATION.
JENNIFER MCKIBBEN DEMONSTRATES THAT LEADERSHIP AS THE IT GIS TECHNICIAN.
JEN SERVES THE MAPPING NEEDS OF MANY DEPARTMENTS IN THAT ROLE.
SHE FOSTERS TEAMWORK AND COMRADERY, AND THROUGH HER DISCIPLINE HAS CREATED VALUE FOR THE CITY.
ONE OF JEN'S DUTIES IS COORDINATING THE FEMA COMMUNITY RATINGS PROGRAM.
THIS PROGRAM SEEKS TO REDUCE CITIZEN LOSSES FROM FLOODING TO MANAGE THIS PROGRAM.
JEN COORDINATES WITH MULTIPLE DEPARTMENTS KEEPING TRACK OF HOW ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION, AND PUBLIC EDUCATION REDUCE FLOOD RISK.
JEN ENCOURAGES STAFF TO CONTRIBUTE BY ALIGNING THEIR WORK AND THE GOALS OF THE PROGRAM.
THROUGH THAT WORK, JEN HAS STREAMLINED MULTIPLE PROCESSES AND RECORD KEEPING, AND THROUGH HER LEADERSHIP HAS CREATED A SAFER COMMUNITY CONTINUING TO BUILD A SAFER COMMUNITY.
PUBLIC SAFETIES COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION IDENTIFIED A NEED TO MORE QUICKLY LOCATE 9 1 1 CALLERS ON CHIAS STATE STATE PARKS.
JEN LED A LED A TEAM FROM IT PUBLIC SAFETY AND THE STATE PARK SERVICE AND OTHER INTEREST GROUPS TO LINE THE PARKS TRAILS, POINTS OF INTEREST AND MILE MARKERS WITH THE CITY'S 9 1 1 SOFTWARE.
WHILE TECHNICALLY COMPLEX, THE REAL WORK WAS BUILDING A SHARED VISION WITH THE STAKEHOLDERS FROM JEN'S WORK, WE NOW HAVE A MODEL TO REUSE FOR GOLF COURSES AND OTHER LARGE PARKS WHILE ACCOMPLISHING THE AFOREMENTIONED WORK.
JEN STILL FOUND TIME TO EARN HER GISP CERTIFICATION, THE HIGHEST CERTIFICATION FOR OUR GIS PROFESSIONAL.
IT IS BECAUSE OF HER UNIQUE ABILITY TO ENGAGE AND ENCOURAGE AND HER DISCIPLINE IN LEADING HER PEERS TO DO THEIR VERY BEST WORK.
THAT JEN JENNIFER MCKIBBEN HAS EARNED THE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH.
SO CONGRATULATIONS TO JENNIFER MCKIBBEN FOR BEING THE SELECT AS THE CITY OF AUBURN EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH.
AND WE'RE CERTAINLY THANKFUL FOR ALL OF OUR OTHER EMPLOYEES THAT WERE RECOGNIZED TONIGHT WITH THEIR SERVICE AWARDS.
AND ALL THE BEST TO JOHN REESE AND BRIAN WOOD AS THEY MOVE ON, UH, THROUGH RETIREMENT.
[00:05:01]
AND WE THANK ALL OF THEM FOR EVERYTHING THEY DO ON BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS OF AUBURN, TO MAKE AUBURN A BETTER PLACE.[5. AUBURN UNIVERSITY COMMUNICATIONS]
COMMUNICATIONS.UH, I GOT A GOT A COUPLE UPDATES FOR YOU GUYS THIS EVENING.
THE SEC FOOD FIGHT KICKS OFF THIS FRIDAY.
IT'S A FRIENDLY COMPETITION BETWEEN ALL SEC SCHOOLS.
UH, TO RAISE THE MOST DONATED FOOD ITEMS. LAST YEAR, AUBURN RAISED OVER $70,000 TO, UH, SUPPORT THE AUBURN CAMPUS FOOD PANTRY.
WE HOPE TO WIN THE COMPETITION FOR THE FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW.
UM, UPON ITS CONCLUSION, APRIL 18TH AND OTHER NEWS, THE COLLEGE DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS ARE HAVING THEIR GREAT DEBATE TONIGHT IN THE LIBRARY.
I AM HAVING THE PLEASURE OR, UM, DISPLEASURE RATHER OF, UH, MODERATING THIS DEBATE.
SO WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING WHAT COMES OUTTA THAT.
THOSE PEOPLE ON TELEVISION DO.
I'M, I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.
WE'RE GONNA BE DISCUSSING A LOT OF THE RECENT BILLS COMING OUTTA THE STATE LEGISLATURE, SCHOOL CHOICE, UH, ENTITY TO I LEGISLATION.
THAT'S ALSO A BIG DEAL, UM, AND OTHER FOREIGN POLICY TOPICS AS WELL.
AND FINALLY, UH, NEW CABINET POSITIONS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED.
I'M EXCITED TO BE CONTINUING AS THE DIRECTOR OF CITY RELATIONS NEXT YEAR.
UM, I'VE LEARNED A LOT IN MY ROLE OVER THE LAST YEAR, UM, JUST ABOUT CITY COUNCIL IN GENERAL AND I'M EXCITED TO CONTINUE THAT INTO THE NEXT YEAR AS WELL.
UM, WE'RE HAVING OUR FIRST CABINET MEETING NEXT WEEK.
UH, SO WE'LL INTRODUCE YOU TO THE NEW, UM, TEAM OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS AND EVERYTHING LIKE THAT.
AND I'LL CERTAIN CERTAINLY BE IN CONTACT WITH YOU ABOUT UPCOMING EVENTS, BUT THAT'S ALL FOR ME THIS WEEK.
THIS TIME IS CITIZENS COMMUNICATIONS.
ON ITEMS ON TONIGHT'S AGENDA, I WILL, UH, POINT YOU TO THERE ARE NO PUBLIC HEARINGS TONIGHT.
SO IF YOU'D LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE CITY COUNCIL ABOUT ANYTHING THAT'S ON OUR AGENDA, NOW WOULD BE THE TIME FOR YOU TO COME FORWARD AND SHARE WITH US YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS FOR THE RECORD.
AND YOU'LL HAVE FIVE MINUTES TO SPEAK.
I BELIEVE WE SKIPPED ANNOUNCEMENTS.
COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS.
WELL REMEMBER EVERYTHING I JUST SAID TO YOU.
DURING THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE, WE DID HAVE A NUMBER OF, UH, UH, BOARD APPOINTMENTS.
UH, THE CITY COUNCIL APPOINTED DAN BUSH TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION.
THE CITY COUNCIL DECIDED TO REAPPOINT NICK HAYES TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION.
THE CITY COUNCIL REAPPOINTED DAVID HENSON TO THE DOWNTOWN DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE.
CITY COUNCIL REAPPOINTED MS. MARSHA BUSING TO THE AUBURN PUBLIC LIBRARY AND THE CITY COUNCIL APPOINTED DORIS AND HUTCHINSON TO THE CEMETERY ADVISORY BOARD.
AND THERE WAS ONE ITEM MOVED, REMOVED FROM OUR AGENDA TONIGHT.
NOW, AGAIN, IF YOU'D LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE CITY COUNCIL ABOUT ANYTHING ON THE AGENDA TONIGHT.
DOES ANYBODY ELSE HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT HERE? YOU GOT ONE, KELLY.
JUST WANNA MAKE SURE YOU DID COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE REPORT AND ALL RIGHT, I GOT IT.
ALL, I JUST WANNA CONGRATULATE THE, UH, ALBAN UNIVERSITY EQUESTRIAN TEAM ON ANOTHER SEC CHAMPIONSHIP.
HOW MANY IS THAT FOR HIM? ABOUT SIX IN A ROW.
ANNOUNCEMENTS? YES, MR. MAYOR? SURE.
I'D LIKE TO REMIND THE PUBLIC THAT THE, UH, AUBURN OUTSTANDING TREE AWARDS ARE OPEN.
WARD SIX HAS PULLED IT OFF FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS.
AND, UH, SO YOU CAN NOMINATE YOUR FAVORITE TREE IN YOUR PARTICULAR WARD, UH, ON THE CITY'S WEBSITE AT THE OUTSTANDING TREE AWARD NOMINATIONS.
ANYONE ELSE HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT? I HAVE ONE IF I MAY, PLEASE.
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO THANK THE WATERSHED DIVISION FOR, UM, PUTTING OUT MARKERS TO IDENTIFY LOCAL WATERSHEDS IN CAMDEN RIDGE.
UM, THIS PAST, UH, I BELIEVE IT WAS LAST WEEKEND, HAD OVER 50 VOLUNTEERS AND THOSE MARKERS HELPED TO IDENTIFY, UM, HOW OUR STORM DRAINS LEAD TO OUR WATERWAYS AND HOW WHAT ENTERS OUR, UM, STORM DRAINS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT THOSE GO INTO OUR LOCAL CREEK STREAMS AND WATERWAYS AS WELL.
SO THANK YOU AGAIN TO THE WATERSHED DIVISION FOR LEADING THOSE EFFORTS.
WOULD ANYONE LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE CITY COUNCIL ABOUT ANYTHING ON OUR AGENDA TONIGHT?
[7. CITY MANAGER’S COMMUNICATIONS]
CITY MANAGERS COMMUNICATIONS.UM, AS YOU ALREADY MENTIONED, ITEM NINE BS HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THE AGENDA, BUT IN BETTER NEWS, I'D LIKE TO INTRODUCE WE HAVE TWO, UH, NEW DEPARTMENT HEADS.
THEY ARE NOT NEW TO THE CITY OF AUBURN.
UM, WE HAVE ALLISON HALL, SHE'S OUR PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR.
SHE ONLY LEFT US FOR A BRIEF FOUR YEAR STINT IN DOTHAN.
UM, HAD A GREAT TIME THERE, BUT AUBURN IS BEST AND SHE'S RETURNED AND I'M THRILLED, UM, TO INTRODUCE HER.
ALLISON, PLEASE STAND UP FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW YOU AND YOU KNOW, YOU CAN WAVE TO THE CROWD.
AND THEN WE ALSO HAVE OUR HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR, LINDA DENAR.
SHE WAS A FIRE CAPTAIN AND, UM, ELEVATED TO OUR HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR POSITION.
[00:10:01]
IS STILL IN AND OUT OF THE BUILDING FOR ABOUT ANOTHER MONTH.AND THEN YOU WON'T BE SEEING HER, LINDA.
SO THERE'S LINDA AND SHE CAN DRAG YOU OUT OF A BURNING BUILDING.
SO, UM, FROM AN HR STANDPOINT, OUR EMPLOYEES KNOW THAT AND SO THEY WILL NOT MESS WITH HER.
UH, YOU KNOW, JUSTICE CAME A FEW MONTHS BEFORE THEM, BUT WE HAVE A GREAT MANAGEMENT TEAM.
UM, I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE THAT WE HAVE GREAT APPLICANTS AND GREAT PEOPLE THAT WANNA PURSUE MANAGEMENT ROLES AND I, I WOULDN'T WANNA DO THIS WITH ANY OTHER GROUP OF PEOPLE OTHER THAN THE MANAGEMENT TEAM THAT'S IN THIS ROOM.
SO I'M GRATEFUL AND I'M GRATEFUL TO HAVE BOTH OF THESE WOMEN IN THESE ROLES AT THIS TIME.
SO, IF YOU'RE READY, WE'LL MOVE TO THE CONSENT AGENDA.
DOES ANY COUNCIL MEMBER HAVE AN ITEM THEY WISH TO REMOVE FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA AND DEAL WITH THAT ITEM INDIVIDUALLY? YES.
UH, EIGHT D ONE AND EIGHT D TWO PLEASE.
ANYONE ELSE? ANYONE ELSE? OKAY.
[8.d.1. CAAM Real‐Estate, LLC. Accept various public easements. Redivision of Lot 1A‐1 and Lot 1A‐2 of Walker Carlton Subdivision, a Redivision of Lot 1A. Property located atsoutheast intersection of Miracle Road and Sarah Lane.]
EIGHT D ONE ITEM EIGHT D ONE ACCEPTS VARIOUS PUBLIC EASEMENTS FROM CAM REAL ESTATE LLC FOR THE DIVISION OF LOT ONE, A ONE AND LOT ONE A TWO OF WALKER CARLTON SUBDIVISION TO DIVISION OF LOT ONE A MOVE FOR APPROVAL.I HAVE A MOTION TO SECOND MR. COLAN.
I JUST WISH TO ABSTAIN FROM THIS VOTE.
ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS? ALL RIGHT.
ANY OPPOSED? AND THAT MOTION CARRIES.
[8.d.2. Catbird, LLC. Accept public drainage and utility and sidewalk lighting easements. Property located at 120 South Ross Street. ]
EIGHT D TWO ACCEPTS VARIOUS PUBLIC EASEMENTS FROM CATBIRD LLC FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT ONE 20 SOUTH ROSS STREET.ALRIGHT, WE HAVE A MOTION TO SECOND MR. KOBIN AGAIN, JUST ABSTAINING.
ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS FROM THE COUNCIL? ALRIGHT.
ANY OPPOSED? AND THAT MOTION CARRIES ITEM 84,
[8.e.4. Historic Preservation Commission. Two (2) vacancies. Terms begin April 21, 2024, and end April 20, 2027.]
APPOINTS DAN BUSH AND NICK HAYES TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION FOR TERMS THAT BEGAN APRIL 21ST AND END APRIL 20TH, 2027.I'D, I'D LIKE TO DIVIDE THIS FOR THE, UH, THE TWO VACANCIES.
UM, I JUST NEED TO, UH, VOICE MY OPPOSITION TO THE SECOND APPOINTEE.
UH, SINCE IT'S ALL PART OF THE CONSENT AGENDA, I DON'T WANNA APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AND, UH, HAVE THAT GO UNRECOGNIZED.
ANYONE ELSE? MR. GRISWOLD, ARE YOU TRYING TO DIVIDE THE QUESTION? DO YOU WANNA VOTE ON THEM SEPARATELY OR WHAT IS YOUR, UM, OR ARE YOU JUST VOICING OPPOSITION? I'M JUST VOICING OPPOSITION TO THE SECOND VACANCY TO THE SECOND, UH, NOMINEE.
SINCE THE MOTION IS TO APPROVE BOTH MS. CROUCH, IS THAT? YEAH.
UNLESS YOU'RE DIVIDING THE QUESTION, YOU'RE JUST GONNA VOTE ON THIS AS IS.
ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS ON THIS? ALRIGHT.
WHO WAS THE THIRD? MS. TAYLOR? MM-HMM.
MR. GRISWOLD, CHIEF DAWSON? CORRECT.
[8. CONSIDERATION OF CONSENT AGENDA]
OKAY.DO I HAVE A MOVE TO APPROVE THE BALANCE OF THE CONSENT AGENDA? I MOVE SECOND.
I HAVE A MOTION TO SECOND ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS? ALRIGHT.
ALL IN FAVOR OF APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA.
ANY OPPOSED? AND THE CONSENT AGENDA IS APPROVED ORDINANCES
[9.a.1. City taxes ‐ 5 mills for general purposes (General Fund). City taxes ‐ 5 mills for capital projects debt repayment (Special Five Mill Tax).]
ITEM NINE A ONE AND ACTS THE ANNUAL RENEWAL OF AVALOR TAXES FOR CITY TAXES.FIVE MILLS FOR GENERAL PURPOSES FOR THE GENERAL FUND, AND FIVE MILLS FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS DEBT REPAYMENT KNOWN AS THE SPECIAL FIVE MILL TAX COUNSEL MUST ANNUALLY RENEW THE PROPERTY TAXES TO AUTHORIZE THE LEE COUNTY REVENUE COMMISSIONER TO ASSESS CITY PROPERTY TAXES.
THIS IS A RENEWAL OF EXISTING TAXES.
THESE ARE NOT NEW TAXES OR TAXES INCREASES.
UNANIMOUS CONSENT IS NECESSARY.
I'LL INTRODUCE THE ORDINANCE AND ASK FOR UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
SECOND, I HAVE A MOTION TO SECOND, DOES ANYONE ON THE COUNCIL HAVE A PROBLEM MOVING FORWARD WITH THE VOTE ON THIS THIS EVENING? ALRIGHT, HEARING NONE.
ANY COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS FROM THE DIOCESE? YES SIR.
MR. GRISWOLD? THANK YOU, MR. MAYOR.
I HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK WITH DR. HERRING THE OTHER DAY AND ASKED HER ABOUT THE, UH, THE LEVEL OF SUPPORT THE CITY PROVIDES.
SHE'S VERY COMPLIMENTARY AND, UH, SAYS THAT THE NEW HIGH SCHOOL WILL NOT REQUIRE ADDITIONAL TAXES PROVIDED THE CITY WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN THIS LEVEL OF SUPPORT.
SO I THINK THAT'S A GOOD THING.
ANYONE ELSE? JUST A A POINT, UH, THAT WAS, THAT I GLEANED ABOUT A YEAR AGO ON THIS AND CITY MANAGER REINFORCED THAT FOR ME THIS WEEK.
UH, NOT ONLY ARE THESE NOT NEW TAXES, BUT THESE HAVE BEEN RENEWED EVERY YEAR FOR A VERY LONG TIME.
UH, SOME OF THESE DATE BACK TO THE LATE 18 HUNDREDS.
[00:15:01]
AND THAT'S PRETTY EASY MATH.WE'VE, WE OR SOMEBODY LIKE US HAS RENEWED THESE FOR OVER A HUNDRED TIMES, I GUESS.
UM, AND THESE, AS YOU POINTED OUT, ARE ALL PROPERTY TAXES AND NO OTHER TYPE OF TAXES ARE INVOLVED.
AND, AND BECAUSE OF THAT FACT, I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT WE ARE ONE OF THE LOWEST PROPERTY TAX STATES AND COUNTIES AND CITIES.
I THINK THAT'S MY OPINION IN THE COUNTRY.
SO WE ARE BLESSED TO LIVE IN THIS AREA.
AS WE ALL KNOW ANYONE ELSE? OKAY, WE'LL MOVE FORWARD.
[9.a.2. School taxes ‐ 11 mills for educational purposes (Special School Tax Fund).]
ITEM NINE A TWO ENACTS THE ANNUAL RENEWAL OF AVALOR TAXES FOR SCHOOL TAXES.11 MILLS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES KNOWN AS THE SPECIAL SCHOOL TAX FUND.
COUNSEL MUST ANNUALLY RENEW THE PROPERTY TAXES TO AUTHORIZE LEE COUNTY REVENUE COMMISSIONER TO ASSESS CITY PROPERTY TAXES.
AGAIN, THIS IS A RENEWAL OF EXISTING TAXES.
THESE ARE NOT NEW TAXES OR TAX INCREASES.
UNANIMOUS CONSENT IS NECESSARY.
I'LL INTRODUCE THE ORDINANCE AND ASK OF UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
SECOND, I HAVE A MOTION TO SECOND SEE.
WILL THE COUNCIL HAVE A PROBLEM MOVING FORWARD WITH THE VOTE ON THIS THIS EVENING? HEARING NONE.
ANY COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS? OKAY.
[9.a.3. School taxes ‐ 5 mills for educational purposes (Special School Tax Fund).]
NINE A THREE ENACTS THE ANNUAL RENEWAL OF A VALOREM TAXES FOR SCHOOL TAXES.FIVE MILLS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES.
COUNSEL MS. ANNUALLY RENEW THE PROPERTY TAXES TO AUTHORIZE LEE COUNTY REVENUE COMMISSIONER TO ASSESS CITY PROPERTY TAXES.
AND AGAIN, THIS IS NOT A RENEWAL OF EXISTING TAXES.
THESE ARE NOT NEW TAXES OR TAXES INCREASES UNANIMOUS CONSENT IS NECESSARY.
I'LL INTRODUCE THE ORDINANCE AND ASK FOR UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
SECOND, HAVE A MOTION TO SECOND SEEING WHETHER THE COUNCIL HAVE A PROBLEM MOVING FORWARD WITH THE VOTE ON THIS THIS EVENING.
I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MOVING FORWARD, BUT I I I DO.
UH, WOULD LIKE TO ASK, ASK THE QUESTION 'CAUSE BOTH OF 'EM SAYING THE SAME THING, BUT ONCE YOU SAY 11,000,005 MILL, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? TWO SEPARATE.
UM, THEY WERE ADOPTED AT TWO SEPARATE TIMES.
ANYTHING DIFFERENT THAN THAT? NO.
SO THEY, THEY SIT THE, IT'S 16 MILLS COMBINED THE PROPERTY TAXES THAT GO, UH, DIRECTLY TO AUBURN CITY SCHOOLS AND SIT IN A FUND, UM, WHERE THEY CAN DRAW FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES.
DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO ADD, ALLISON? NO, JUST THE TWO DIFFERENT TAXES THAT WERE ENACTED AT TWO DIFFERENT TIMES.
OKAY, ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? OKAY.
I KNOW NINE B HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE AGENDA AND B ON THE APRIL 16TH AGENDA.
[10.a. Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) ‐ 2024 Annual Action Plan.]
RESOLUTIONS PLEASE? ITEM 10 A ADOPTS AND AUTHORIZES A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM 2024 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN.ANY COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS FROM THE DIVES? I THINK I JUST GOT, UH, ONE QUESTION.
IT SAYS 2024 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN OR ACTION PLAN.
CAN YOU KINDA EXPLAIN THAT TO THE YEAH, I'LL HAVE MR. DAVIS, OUR COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR GIVE AN OVERVIEW.
THERE'S A CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND WITHIN THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN THERE ARE FIVE YEARS OF ACTION PLANS AND HE'LL, HE'LL GO OVER THAT WITH YOU.
THE, UH, EACH YEAR THE CITY HAS, THE COUNCIL HAS TO ADOPT OUR ANNUAL ACTION PLAN.
THE ACTION PLAN BEFORE YOU TONIGHT IS THE LAST OF THE FIVE YEAR ACTION PLANS THAT WERE ADOPTED AS PART OF OUR, UH, 20 20 20 20 24 CONSOLIDATED PLAN.
UH, SO NEXT YEAR WE'LL COME WITH A NEW CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND WE'LL START THE WHOLE FIVE YEAR PROCESS OVER.
UH, BUT YOU'RE REQUIRED EACH YEAR TO ADOPT THE PLAN.
UM, HUD REQUIRES THAT THE US DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT REQUIRES THE COUNCIL TO APPROVE IT.
OUR PLANS FOR USE OF THE MONIES STARTING IN, UH, JUNE 1ST OF THIS YEAR, AND THIS ACTION PLAN GOES THROUGH MAY 31ST OF NEXT YEAR.
MR. DAVIS, THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN IDENTIFIES GENERAL NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY AND THE ACTION PLAN IS THE WAY IN WHICH FROM THE ANNUAL ALLOCATIONS WE GET FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, IT'S HOW WE IMPLEMENT IT.
[00:20:01]
I JUST WANT EVERYBODY ELSE TO KNOW, KNOW IT.
BECAUSE PEOPLE ASK, YOU KNOW, THOSE TYPE OF QUESTIONS, BUT THANK YOU.
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS FROM THE COUNCIL? I HAVE A QUESTION.
UM, UNDER FAMILY SERVICES, IT SAYS DISCIPLINE, ACCOUNTABILITY, COMMITMENT.
WHAT, WHAT IS THAT? LEMME SEE WHICH ONE YOU'RE LOOKING AT.
WELL, IT'S ON PAGE 3 0 4, ABOUT MIDWAY DOWN TO PAGE SIX.
UH, WE'VE VERY HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO INCLUDE A NEW ORGANIZATION, UH, TO OUR FUNDING CYCLE THIS YEAR.
UH, THEY WILL BE PROVIDING SOME AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMMING, UH, AND SOME OTHER ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES.
UH, THEY WILL OPERATE FROM, UH, TRUE DELIVERANCE, BUT THEY'RE A BRAND NEW ORGANIZATION AND, UH, WE HAVE SET AT THEM VERY CAREFULLY.
WE THINK THEY'LL ADD A LOT OF VALUE TO OUR PROGRAM.
SO IT'S, UM, AN OUTSIDE AGENCY.
UH, YOU HAVE TO BE A NONPROFIT TO GET FUNDING, UH, THROUGH THE CDBG PROGRAM.
AND THIS IS SEPARATED FROM OUR OUTSIDE AGENCY FUNDING THAT RUNS THROUGH THE REGULAR BUDGET.
SO IS THIS THIS THE NAME OF THE NONPROFIT OR THIS IS THE NAME OF NONPROFIT.
IT, IT'S AUBREY RES ORGANIZATION.
ANY OTHER COMMENTS, QUESTIONS? ALRIGHT.
THIS IS A RESOLUTION, SO WE HAVE A MOTION TO SECOND.
SO, ALL IN FAVOR, PLEASE SAY AYE.
ANY OPPOSED? AND THE MOTION CARRIES.
MAYOR, THOSE ARE ALL THE ITEMS OF BUSINESS WE HAVE FOR YOU THIS EVENING.
[12. CITIZENS’ OPEN FORUM]
THIS TIME AS CITIZENS OPEN FORUM, IF YOU'D LIKE TO ADDRESS CITY COUNCIL ABOUT ANYTHING, WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE COME FORWARD AND GIVE US YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS FOR THE RECORD, YOU WILL HAVE THREE MINUTES TO SPEAK AND WE ASK THAT YOUR COMMENTS BE DIRECTED TO THE COUNCIL.I, UH, PARTICIPATED IN THE HAZARDOUS WASTE, UM, FORGIVENESS, I THINK IT WAS 604 WHEN I GOT UP THERE.
SO YOU NAME AND ADDRESS, I'M SORRY.
ROBERT WILKINS, 2 61 DENSON DRIVE, AUBURN, ALABAMA.
ANYWAY, IT WAS A GREAT PROGRAM.
I HAD LIKE FOUR OR FIVE GALLON CONTAINERS, UH, CHEMICALS AND TWO ONE GALLONS.
SO THANK Y'ALL FOR HAVING THAT TODAY.
I WANNA TALK ABOUT THE WORD BUT.
UH, THE DEFINITION IS TO USE, INTRODUCE A PHRASE OR CLAUSE CONTRASTING THAT WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN MENTIONED.
WE, CITIZENS ARE GIVEN TIME LIMITS AND GUIDELINES THAT YOU PUT UP EVERY, EVERY MEETING.
UM, BUT THE MAYOR NORTHERN CITY COUNCIL HAVE ANY GUIDELINES OR TIME LIMITS.
COUNCILMAN PARSONS, FOR EXAMPLE, CAN RUDELY INTERRUPT MS. AMP MANY MULTIPLE TIMES.
SINCE THERE'S NO CONTROL OR GUIDELINE, MS. AMP HAS A RIGHT TO SPEAK ABOUT PROTECTING THE KIDS.
I'M IN SUPPORT OF THAT PROTECTION.
Y'ALL ARE ABLE TO REBUTTAL AFTER WE SPEAK, BUT WE CITIZENS ARE NOT.
WE SHOULD BE GIVEN AT LEAST A MINUTE REBUTTAL TIME THAT THIS COUNCIL CAN TAKE UNLIMITED TIME AND UNLIMITED RESPONSE.
YOU MAY HAVE RECEIVED 188% RAISE FROM THE CITY COUNCIL, BUT YOU VOTED AGAINST THE CITY COUNCIL GETTING ANY KIND OF MUCH NEEDED RAISE.
ORDINANCE 32 88 WAS PASSED, BUT NO DATA WAS PROVIDED TO MAKE A PROPER DECISION.
ONLY COUNCILMAN TAYLOR HAS WARD MEETINGS.
BUT YOU THE SEVEN, UH, COUNCILMAN'S MEMBERS DO NOT INCLUDING MY OWN WARD.
IS THAT TRUE? THAT'S NOT TRUE.
I HOPE ALL OF YOU WILL TAKE, TAKE, UH, BATH AND, UH, CONNIE'S PLACE.
BECAUSE I AM, I AM WRONG SOMETIMES.
I, I BROUGHT UP AN ISSUE A FEW MONTHS AGO IN WARD ONE CONCERNING THE POLICE.
BUT INSTEAD OF HAVING A CONCERN, SETTING UP A MEETING WITH THE MAYOR, CITY MANAGERS CHIEF OF POLICE, COUNCILWOMAN, UH, TAYLOR AND A FEW OTHERS, MAYOR ANDERSON, COUNCILMAN DAWSON LAMBASTED ME.
NEARLY ONE AND A HALF YEARS HAVE PASSED SINCE THE AUBURN CITY COUNCIL VOTED 22 MILLION FOR LAKE WILMORE, BUT THREE TO FOUR TIMES THE PRACTICE FACILITIES ARE NEEDED.
MANY VOLUNTEERS, COACHES CONCERNING CITIZENS STATE THAT THEIR PRACTICES PRACTICE IN PARKING LOTS.
PRACTICE ON BASKETBALL COURTS WITH FOUR TEAMS SHARING, PLAYING AN OLD LANDFILL WITH HILLS ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD.
WHY BUILD A TAJ MAHAL OR ANOTHER SPORTSPLEX IN THE AREA? I'LL BE HAPPY TO PROVIDE MY LIFETIME SKILLS OF WORKING WITH LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL PROJECTS BY INVOLVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY TO DEVELOP A FINANCIAL AND NEEDS PLAN TO ACT TO SUPERCHARGE THE YOUTH RECREATIONAL FACILITIES.
[00:25:01]
THE CHILDREN'S HOME, I'VE ALWAYS ENJOYED PAYING IT FORWARD.MARTHA SCHAMP, 3 0 7 CAMELIA DRIVE.
HOW FAR IS THE EARTH FROM THE MOON? NASA SAYS IT'S ABOUT 238,000 8 55 MILES.
NOW MR. ELON MUSK WANTS TO GO FARTHER.
MARS IS ABOUT 35 MILLION MILES FROM THE EARTH, BUT MAN HAS LANDED MACHINES ON IT ROVERS TO EXPLORE THE SURFACE.
THE CLOSEST STAR TO US, ACCORDING TO CALTECH, IS ABOUT 20 TRILLION, 25 TRILLION, 300 BILLION MILES AWAY FROM US.
WHILE THE FARTHEST STARS ARE BILLIONS OF TIMES FARTHER THAN THAT, WHAT IS A STAR? IT'S A HUGE SPHERE OF VERY HOT, GLOWING GAS THAT MAKES ITS OWN LIGHT AND ENERGY BY NUCLEAR FUSION.
THE GAS IS MOSTLY HYDROGEN AND HELIUM.
THE STARS SHINE AS THEY BURN THEIR, HEAL THEIR HYDROGEN INTO HELIUM.
NOBODY KNOWS EXACTLY HOW MANY STARS THERE ARE IN THE UNIVERSE.
THERE ARE BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF THEM.
OUR OWN GALAXY, THE MILKY WAY, HAS SEVERAL HUNDRED BILLION STARS.
THERE ARE BILLIONS OF OTHER GALAXIES BEYOND OURS, WHICH HAVE AS MANY OR MORE TRUE CHRISTIANS WORSHIP THE GOD WHO PLACED THEM THERE.
HE REVEALS HIMSELF AS YAHWEH OR JEHOVAH ELOHIM AT OHAI IN THE BIBLE AND SENT HIS SON AS A MESSENGER IN THE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST TO TEACH US.
HE DETERMINES WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG.
JEHOVAH GOD SAYS HOMOSEXUALITY IS WRONG.
THESE CHEAP BOOKS AT OUR AUBURN LIBRARY SAY IT'S RIGHT.
WHO AM I TO BELIEVE I KNOW WHO I BELIEVE? I BELIEVE THE GOD WHO MADE THE STARS THE EARTH, ALL MANKIND, THE, THE SEAS AND EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE.
BUT MANY OF THE TWISTED BOOKS IN ARE IN THE LIBRARY, ARE UNWORTHY OF OUR LIBRARY.
AND IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM, I HAVE A WHOLE BAG FULL, WHICH IS JUST A TIP OF THE ICEBERG OUTTA MY CAR TONIGHT.
I WILL SHOW ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO SEE WHAT I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT NOW FOR MORE THAN A YEAR, THEY STILL REMAIN.
LET'S WORSHIP THE GOD WHO KNOWS WHAT'S RIGHT AND WRONG.
WHO WOULD BE NEXT? HELLO, I'M, UH, SARAH KING COLLINS, 8 75 CAHABA DRIVE.
UM, I'VE BEEN, UH, IN AUBURN FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS NOW.
UH, BUT I AM JUST RECENTLY SETTLED IN MY HOUSE AND I'VE BEEN WANTING TO GET INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY.
I'VE GONE BACK AND LISTENED TO, UM, A COUPLE MONTHS WORTH OF, UH, CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS.
AND I JUST WANTED TO COME AND SAY THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO.
UH, IT'S REALLY IMPRESSIVE TO ME, UH, WHAT Y'ALL DO TO SET OUR CITY UP FOR SUCCESS.
UM, I HAVE STUDIED URBAN DESIGN.
IT'S NOT MY MAIN FIELD OF STUDY, BUT IT'S A PASSION OF MINE.
AND TO SEE, UH, ZONING THINGS IN PLACE, UH, PRESERVING, UH, HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOODS, FILLING IN DEVELOPMENTS IS REALLY ENCOURAGING.
UM, THINGS THAT I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT ARE, UH, I'VE GOT A MAP OF THE BICYCLE LANES, UH, AND PROPOSED BICYCLE LANES, UM, PEDESTRIAN INFRASTRUCTURE, WHATNOT.
UH, BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND INFORMATION FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THAT, UH, AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE.
UM, I TYPICALLY WALK TO AND FROM MY HOUSE.
UH, I'VE HAD TENDONITIS THE LAST MONTH.
SO I'VE BEEN SCOOTING BACK AND FORTH DOWN NORTH COLLEGE AND IT IS A LITTLE BIT OF A TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE.
SO JUST INTERESTED IN FINDING OUT YEAH.
HOW, WHAT PLANS THERE ARE, WHAT IMPLEMENTATION IS COMING DOWN THE ROAD.
UM, AND THEN ALSO, UH, I WOULD REALLY LOVE TO GET INVOLVED.
UM, AND I'M GOING TO BE A REGULAR FACE HERE IN THE FUTURE.
UM, AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING MORE INVOLVED.
WHO WILL BE NEXT? YOU KNOW, ONE.
WE'LL CLOSE THIS PERIOD OF, UH, CITIZENS OPEN FORM.
[00:30:01]
ANYONE ON THE COUNCIL HAVE ANYTHING THEY'D LIKE TO SAY BEFORE WE, I I WANNA ASK A QUESTION.UM, MARTIN LUTHER KING DID NEW STREET SCAPE OVER THERE.
I THINK I SENT AN EMAIL, UH, TO YOU, MEGAN, ABOUT THE, UH, SOME LIGHT, A LIGHT THAT WAS DAMAGED THE POLE AND EVERYTHING.
SO I SEE WHERE DATA ACTUALLY REMOVED THE LIGHT, BUT IS THERE, IS IT GONNA BE REPLACED? IT WOULD DEFINITELY BE REPLACED.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE INDIVIDUAL WHO STRUCK MULTIPLE POLES DOES NOT HAVE ANY INSURANCE.
SO THAT WILL BE THE CITY'S, UM, RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE.
WE HADN'T EVEN ACCEPTED THE ROAD YET.
THERE'S A LONG LEAD TIME ON LIGHTS.
SHE OR THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR CAN HELP ME, BUT IT WILL BE REPLACED.
I DON'T KNOW IF WE'VE EVEN BEEN ABLE TO ORDER YET.
WE'RE STILL WAITING ON SOME LEGAL THINGS TO SHAKE DOWN AND THEN WE WILL ORDER.
YES, IT'LL ABSOLUTELY BE REPLACED.
UM, ANYTIME OUR DECORATIVE LIGHTS GET HIT, IT'S A LITTLE BIT, UH, WORSE.
WE'VE HAD A FEW ACCIDENTS IN THE LAST WEEK THAT HAVE TAKEN OUT ALSO ON OUR TRAFFIC SIGNALS.
THEY HAVE THE, THE BLACK DECORATIVE TRAFFIC SIGNALS HAVE A THING AT THE BOTTOM CALLED A SKIRT, WHICH SOUNDS KIND OF FUNNY.
WE'VE LOST A FEW SKIRTS IN THE LAST WEEK THAT HAPPENS.
UM, AND THEY KIND OF MAKE IT LOOK PRETTIER AT THE BOTTOM.
AND SO WE KEEP SOME OF THESE THINGS IN INVENTORY WHEN THEY'RE COMMON SIZES.
UM, BUT FABRICATION HAS BEEN DIFFICULT.
SO YES, THEY WILL BE REPLACED.
THEY'RE, THEY'RE A PRIORITY FOR US TO GET ORDERED, BUT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE WHAT LEAD TIME WE HAVE RIGHT NOW.
AND THE, THE REASON FOR REMOVAL, YOU HAD DEFINITELY REACHED OUT AND, YOU KNOW, SAID WE HAD SOME ELECTRICAL CONDUIT EXPOSED AND WE, WE HAD A LOT OF TWISTED METAL.
FORTUNATELY, THE INDIVIDUAL, UM, THAT DAMAGED THEM, UM, WAS OKAY AND THEY FELL ASLEEP.
THAT'S, THAT'S THE EXTENT OF IT.
BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT, IT TAKES A WHILE.
AND THE TWISTED METAL WASN'T LOOKING TOO GOOD, SO WE REMOVED IT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
IT JUST LOOKED FUNNY, YOU KNOW, BECAUSE ABOUT, BECAUSE ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S NOT YES, YES.
IT'S VERY SIMILAR TO THE LIGHTING WE HAVE ON OPELIKA ROAD, RIGHT BY THE POST OFFICE IN FRANK BROWN RECREATION CENTER.
ANYONE ELSE? YEAH, I'D LIKE TO RESPOND TO MS. COLLINS INQUIRIES ABOUT, UM, SURE, YEAH.
I THINK IF YOU PAY ATTENTION TO, YOU PROBABLY ALREADY ARE SUBSCRIBER TO OUR, UH, EMAIL CHAIN THAT COMES OUT.
UH, I THINK YOU CAN PAY ATTENTION TO THAT.
YOU'LL SEE, UH, CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, MR. MAYOR, YOU'LL SEE, UM, INFORMATION ABOUT 2040 PLANS AND TEAMS COMING UP.
SO THERE WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO, TO, TO RE TO BE A PART OF SOME TYPE OF TEAM THAT, UH, PIQUES YOUR INTEREST WITHIN OUR CITY AND, UH, AND WELCOME TO OUR CITY.
AND, UH, I THINK YOU'LL FIND ALL OF, ALL OF THE COUNCIL MEMBERS ARE VERY APPROACHABLE.
AND JUST, UH, SHOUT OUT IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A MEET AND BE HAPPY TO TALK TO YOU.
ANYONE ELSE BEFORE WE END? FIRST OF ALL, I WANT TO ASK, TELL THE CITY MANAGER THANK YOU FOR THE RAILROAD TIES.
UM, THEY'RE NO LONGER THERE AND THAT HAS BEEN A NUISANCE TO A FEW OF OUR CITIZENS AND, UH, GOT SO USED TO 'EM.
THEY BLENDED AND, UH, THAT'S RIGHT.
AND I, WHOEVER PARTICIPATED IN MAKING THAT HAPPEN, GREAT.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK A NUMBER OF PEOPLE.
THE CITY ENGINEER FINALLY GOT US CONNECTED WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE AT CSX WHO SAID GET RID OF 'EM.
UM, OUR PUBLIC SERVICES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, A LOT OF DEPARTMENTS WERE INVOLVED.
THEY'RE ACTUALLY A LITTLE BIT STORED RIGHT NOW ON OUR PROPERTY ELSEWHERE, SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS WHERE THEY ARE, UM, IN A SECURE LOCATION.
BUT WE WILL BE DISPOSING OF THEM SOON.
THE CITY, UM, WOULD NOT BE USING THEM, BUT THEY WILL, THEY WILL GO AWAY.
AND SO WE HAVE A FEW, UH, LONGTIME RESIDENTS, ONE IN PARTICULAR LIVED ON RAILROAD AVENUE THAT HAS BEEN BLOCKED FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND COULD NOT SEE, UM, AROUND THEM.
AND IT WAS A LITTLE BIT DAUNTING.
AND I AM MOST PLEASED FOR THAT PARTICULAR RESIDENT WHO'S, UM, REALLY HAD A HARD TIME WITH THEM AND WE HADN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET THEM MOVED.
SO THANK YOU TO MY TEAM WHO CAME UP WITH A GREAT SOLUTION AND THEY WERE GONE.
WELL, THEY'VE BEEN THERE SO LONG.
I THOUGHT I SAW 'EM THIS MORNING.
IT'S SUBCONSCIOUS, ISN'T IT? NIE YOU JUST THINK YOU'RE PASSING BY THAT SOMEHOW THERE'S GONNA BE MORE THAT'LL THAT WILL APPEAR AND THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO PUT A CAMERA ON IT.
UM, I WANNA CORRECT SOMETHING THAT WAS SAID EARLIER.
I HAVE NEVER CAST OF OATH THAT PREVENTED THIS COUNCIL FROM RECEIVING A RAISE.
BUT LOOK, DON'T LET THE TRUTH GET IN, GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR NARRATIVE, MR. WILKINS.
I MEAN, AS LONG AS YOU KEEP REPEATING THOSE THINGS, SOMEBODY WILL BELIEVE THEM SOMEWHERE.
[00:35:01]
VOTE.JUST TO CORRECT YOU, LAST WEEK WE HAD A WONDERFUL DAY WHERE WE HAD A CELEBRATION AT THE JAN DEMPSEY ART CENTER WHERE IT WAS BASICALLY DOUBLED IN SIZE.
UM, THERE WAS AN INDUSTRY APPRECIATION RECEPTION LATER THAT EVENING.
AND THEN ON SATURDAY WE HAD HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS.
AND I'M NOT SO SURE THERE WEREN'T A THOUSAND KIDS AT THE EASTER EGG HUNT OUT AT DUCK SANFORD.
AND THESE THREE THINGS REALLY I THINK, COMMUNICATED AND EXHIBITED THE DIVERSITY AND THE EFFORT AND THE SERVICE, UM, OF OUR COMMUNITY, UM, FOR OUR ARTS COMMUNITY.
HAVING THE JAN DEMPSEY OPENED AND HAVING THAT FACILITY EN LARGE FOR CERAMICS AND UH, AND PERFORMING ARTS AND, AND MUSIC AND ALL THE THINGS THAT GO ON IN THERE, THERE WERE PEOPLE THERE THAT WERE REALLY, REALLY EXCITED.
AND IT WAS A GREAT TIME TO RECOGNIZE MAYOR JAN DEMPSEY FOR ALL THINGS THAT SHE DID IN THIS COMMUNITY DURING HER 18 YEARS AS BEING A MAYOR.
AND THEN WITH OUR INDUSTRIES, WHAT THEY PROVIDE, THE 5,000 JOBS THAT ARE OUT THERE IN THOSE INDUSTRIES.
AND, UM, ALL THE THINGS FOR OUR ECONOMY THAT THESE WORKERS DO WHEN THEY COME TO AUBURN AND WORK IN THESE INDUSTRIES.
THE THINGS THEY PROVIDE FOR US.
AND ONE OF THE THINGS THEY PROVIDE FOR US IS OUR PARKS AND REC.
UM, AND THEN TO SEE THE FAMILIES THAT WE'RE HAVING A GOOD TIME AND THE, AND THE GAMES THAT WERE OUT THERE AND THE PEOPLE THAT WERE OUT THERE.
AND IT WAS SUCH A CROSS SECTION OF AUBURN, UM, WITH A SMILE ON THEIR FACE AND A BEAUTIFUL SATURDAY MORNING.
AND I APPRECIATE EVERYBODY'S EFFORTS FOR ALL OF THAT.
UM, WE DO HAVE SOME MORE WORK TO DO.
I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT, UM, THAT MR. WILKINS IS NOW THE OMBUDSMAN OF THE PARKS AND REC COMPLAINTS.
AND ALL OF OUR PLANS HAVE BEEN VERY WELL COMMUNICATED.
WE HAVE FOUR FOOTBALL FIELDS THAT'LL BE BUILT AT LAKE WILMORE IN PHASE TWO, AND THEY WILL HOST FOOTBALL GAMES AND LACROSSE GAMES AND OTHER SPORTS THAT WOULD PARTICIPATE ON THOSE KINDS OF FIELDS.
WE KNOW WE'VE GOT MORE WORK TO DO AND UM, AND WE'RE WORKING AS FAST AS WE CAN.
MONEY IS MONEY AND WE HAVE TO HAVE A, A RESPONSIBLE BUDGET THAT CONSIDERS ALL THE NEEDS AND THE DESIRES OF OUR COMMUNITY.
AND I PROMISE YOU THAT WE'RE WORKING HARD ON ANY, ALL OF THAT.
SO I JUST APPRECIATE EVERYBODY THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE JAN DEMPSEY CELEBRATION, THE EASTER EGG HUNT, AND THE INDUSTRY APPRECIATION.
UH, IT WAS A GREAT, GREAT TIME TO BE AT AL, BE AN AUBURN PERSON AND TO CELEBRATE ALL THAT'S WONDERFUL ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY.
THE LAKE WILMORE FIELDS ARE OUT TO BID RIGHT NOW.
AND THIS OUT BID OUT TO BID'S CLOSED FAIRLY SOON.
ARE WE READY? MOVE TO ADJOURN.
