ALLOWING MOST OF THE MEMBERS TO BE APPOINTED FOR TWO TERMS THAT AMOUNT TO 8 YEARS, 10 YEARS AND 12 YEARS WHILE MISUSING THE POOL OF AUBURN CITY TALENT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.
EVEN THE FEW TASK FORCES THAT HAVE BEEN FORMED THE MEMBERS HAD THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES NEUTERED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER OVER THE YEARS.
THE CITY COUNCIL IS MADE OF GOOD AND RESPECTFUL MEMBERS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY ARE ILL INFORMED. THEY ALLOW THE SIT AMANAGER TO BELITTLE CITIZENS WHO SPEAK OUT WHILE CONTROLLING INFORMATION THAT HINDERS THEIR DECISION PROCESS WHICH EFFECTS THE AUBURN CITIZENS LIVES.
PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST ARE BEING IGNORED BY CITY MANAGER CONCERNING EXCESSIVE EXPENTURES FOR SOLID WASTE, EXCESSSIVE CITY GOVERNMENT GROWTH, EXCESSIVE AUTOMOTIVE PURCHASE AND MUCH MORE. THE CITY CONTINUES TO ALLOW THE CITY MANAGER TO SPEND THE BLOATED EXCESSIVE REVENUE WITH LIMITED CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT.
IT IS TIME TO STOP GOVERNMENT GROWTH WHILE ACCOUNTING FOR ALL THE FUNDS EXPENDED AND USED FOR THE PROPER NEEDS. IT IS TIME TO CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF DOWNTOWN. A DIRECTION OF THE 30-40 PLANS EFFECTING EVERY CITIZEN AND NEIGHBORHOOD.
IT IS TIME TO FORM REAL CITIZEN TASK FORCE THAT ADDRESS CITIZEN ISSUES AND DEVELOP STRATEGIES THAT WILL BE APPROVED BY THE COUNCIL AND CARRIED OUT BY THE AUBURN CITY MANAGEMENT.
IT IS TIME FOR THE AUBURN CITIZENS TO GET LOCAL NEIGHBORS TO RUN FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS AND MAYOR. WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE UNCONTESTED COUNCIL POSITIONS, INCLUDING THE MAYOR'S POSITION.
