THANK YOU VERY MUCH. BUT TODAY I WANT TO SHARE THE ADVISORY BOARD'S THOUGHT PROCESS IN HOW WE CAME ABOUT THE MASTERPLAN WORK WITH STAFF. AND EXPRESSED THE NEED AND FOR FUNDING FOR THE PROJECT. THIS IS VERY MUCH A COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE NEED. AS MANY OF YOU RECALL, WHEN THE 5 MILLION TAX WAS REALLEY KATE WED WENT IN A NINE YEAR HALT ON ANY PARK AND REC FACILITY DEVELOPMENT.
SINCE JOINING THE ADVISORY BOARD IN NOVEMBER OF 2020, WE HAVE MADE IT A MAJOR FOCUS TO GET OUR FACILITIES BACK UP TO SNUFF AND MEET THE GROWING DEMANDS OF OUR CITIZENS UNIT YOUNG, MIDDLE-AGED AND SENIORS. THAT IS INCLUDE THE INDOOR AND SOCCER FIELDS, PHASE ONE AND TECH PICKLE BALL COURT CONVERSIONS, INCLUSIVE PARK, TWO PASSIVE PARKS AND THEN THE CURRENT PROJECTS, AND THE TURF UPGRADES AT THE SOFTBALL COMPLEX. THE REALITY IS WE ARE STILL DEALING WITH NINE PLUS YEARS OF BACKLOG IN NEED OF FACILITIES.
STATISTICALLY, WE GET THE NUMBERS ON A REGULAR BASIS FROM

ALLISON AND HER STAFF BETWEEN 2021 AND 2025 WE ARE SEEN A 31% INCREASE IN PARTICIPATION IN ATHLETIC PROGRAMS. OUR SUMMER CAMPS I BELIEVE LAST SUM THEY FELLED UP IN LESS THAN AN HOUR AND WERE WAIT LISTED. THIS YEAR FILLED UP IN A DAY'S TIME. THANKS TO THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB FOR OVERFLOWING THEIR PROGRAM.N MOST OF CITIZENS ARE SERVICED BUT WE STILL HAVE WAIT LIST. I DON'T THINK THAT IS THE VISION AND MIND SET OF THIS COUNCIL MUCH LESS THE CITIZENS.
WE ARE NATIONALLY ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION IS GOING DOWN.
WE ARE SEEING 20, 30, 40 AND 70% INCREASE PARTICULARLY IN VOLLEYBALL, FLAG FOOTBALL, FEMALE SPORTS, THAT ARE RAPIDLY GROWING ACROSS OUR STATE. SP SPRING SOCCER AROUND SUMMER SOCCER AND BASKETBALL THANKS TO THE PREVIOUS COACH AT AUBURN UNIVERSITY IS UP 45% IN THAT FOUR YEAR PERIOD. SO OUR FAMILIES ARE JUST UTILIZING OUR FACILITIES. FO BECAUSE WE HAVE GREAT FACILITY BUT DON'T HAVE ADEQUATE FACILITIES OUR TEAMS ARE SHARING COURT, SHARING FIELDS.
WE HAVE ADDRESSED THAT WITH THE MOST RECENT DEVELOPMENT BUT STILL WORKING TO MEETING THE EXISTING NEEDS.
NORTHWEST AUBURN IS OUR FASTEST AREA AND UNDER SERVED BY PARK AND REC FACILITY AND REALLY WE ARE MAXED OUT.
THE DESIGN HAS BEEN A FOUR YEAR PROCESS GOING BACK, TO 2021 IN WHICH WE HAVE FOCUS ON WHAT ARE THE NEEDS OF STAFF? WHAT ARE THE NEEDS OF RESIDENTS AND GOING TO PARTAKE OR REQUIRE OF THIS COUNCIL, SO WITH THAT I IMPLORE YOU AS WE MOVE THROUGH THE DESIGN PROCESS WE NEED TO THINK ABOUT --

THE ARENA TO TOWN CREEK CEMETERY, WAS -- WELL, IT WAS MOVING TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE STOPPED WITH THEY WERE DOING TO BE ON THAT STREET TO PAY HIM RESPECT. SO WE HAVE GOT -- WE HAVE GOT A LOT IF BLESSING IN THE COMMUNITY.
